A software build can be defined as the transformation of (version-controlled) source into executable software and formatted documents. For many development teams, the task of “running the build” can be extremely laborious and time-consuming. For that reason, CMI employs a range of build professionals. We have junior-level specialists whose focus is to execute and audit builds as well as improve build tools and processes. We also have higher-level specialists who have expertise in make, compilers and build automation.
