Management Team

Zoraida Hernandez
President/Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Hernandez holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at CMI. Joining CMI in 1997, she has upheld several critical roles within the company leading to her appointment as CEO. Mrs. Hernandez has established her credentials as a knowledgeable business leader via positions in Communications, Business Development, and Executive Management. In this capacity, Ms. Hernandez garnered extensive management experience in achieving challenging revenue and profit growth objectives. She also successfully managed strategic relationships with independent service providers, delivered integrated solutions and increased customer loyalty. As CEO, Ms. Hernandez is responsible for driving the company's information technology services organization to create capital value for various lines of business services, including technology, retail, and financial institutions.  Ms. Hernandez has a degree in Engineering from the University Simón Bolívar (USB) in Caracas, Venezuela.


LaWanda Edmond
Program Management Office

LaWanda has 25 years of career experience in Telecommunications and 14 years of Director/VP experience in Program Management Office (PMO), Project Management, Quality Process Management, and Systems Testing. LaWanda‘s career skill experience spans from working as a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) in systems engineering and operations planning to a Technical Manager and Director for project management and systems validation testing in Engineering organizations. LaWanda has an extensive Telecommunications background in Toll-free calling applications, Optics Network Management, VOIP, ISO and TL9000 quality certifications. She has worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent, and Sonus Networks and led and managed teams in the US, UK, Italy, and Bangalore, India. LaWanda earned a BS degree in Computer Science/Mathematics from Jackson State University in 1986 and a MS Degree in Computer Science from Howard University in 1987. 


John J. Falzon
Chief Operating Officer

John J. Falzon joined CMI as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in April 2006. John is an executive with 30 years of experience in developing Information Technology Solutions.  He has extensive experience and technical, financial and customer/industry knowledge in bringing new technology and products to market.  Prior to coming to CMI, John worked 25 years at Telcordia Technologies.  At Telcordia, John was Vice President responsible for Softswitch and Multimedia Products where he led the Next Generation Broadband Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Product Development.  John had full operational and P&L responsibility for developing Telcordia’s Softswitch and Multimedia product line.  John joined Telcordia after graduating with a BS degree in Computer Science in 1981.  John also has a MS in Telecommunications & Computing Management and a MBA in Finance.


Gerard Giordano
Chief Financial Officer

Gerard Giordano has 30 years of experience as a Financial Manager serving as a CFO for several companies in both Professional Services and Manufacturing.  Most recently Jerry worked for Aon Consulting as the CFO for a particular Business Unit. Prior to that Jerry served as CFO of Kroll Zolfo Cooper and Zolfo Cooper. In addition to a strong day-to-day accounting background, Jerry has had success in Financial Operations Management and Control, Strategic Planning and Business Development, General Management and Administration, Cash Management, MIS, Acquisitions and Profit Improvement Programs. Jerry has a BS degree in Accounting from St Peter's College and an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.


Ajay Rudruwal
General Manager, India

Ajay Rudruwal is the General Manager of CMI’s India Subsidiary and is located in the Bangalore office.  Ajay is a dual US and Indian citizen.  He brings over 20 years of technical and management experience in software development, system testing, and networking product development areas.  Ajay started his career as software development engineer for L&T India.  Since 1999 he has held positions of increasing responsibility in the US  for Ascom Timeplex in New Jersey, Charles Industries, and BridgeWave Communications in California.  As CMI’s India-based GM, Ajay oversees the software development and system test group for TDM/SONET, Ethernet and wireless product development for telecom companies in the US.  Ajay holds an Engineering Degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Bhopal MP India.


Shrikant Gundu “Sean Brown”
Recruiting Manager/Director at the Kakinada India office

Mr. Shrikant “Sean” Gundu is a Recruiting Manager and Senior Recruiter with over 8 years of hands-on experience. Sean has worked with CMI since 2007 and leads a growing recruiting team at CMI’s Kakinada India office, providing 24/7 support. During his career he has provided skilled candidates for both consulting and permanent positions for all levels of IT and non-IT positions. Sean is experienced in recruiting and placing candidates on numerous assignments, including but not limited to: DBAs, developers, architects, project managers/support/leads, research associates, business analysts, financial analysts, mechanical/electrical engineers, technicians, technical writers, validation specialists, data entry, quality assurance/testers, network engineers, desk side services, marketing, and customer service support. He has provided resumes to CMI account managers and directly to clients’ vendor management systems including Procurestaff, FieldGlass and “home grown” systems.  Sean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from DAV University, Dehradoon, India.


Frank Ungarten
Director of Sales

Frank Ungarten is an industry recognized professional with experience in the Professional Consulting and Staff Augmentation Industry. Frank is a thought leader with experience working with a variety of clients to support staffing initiatives in the automotive, banking, investment/brokerage, financial services, pharmaceutical, telecommunications and retail industries.  He has successfully sold, initiated and completed multi-million dollar staffing projects throughout his tenure. Frank has expertise managing sales and recruiting organizations, growing new accounts and supporting all aspects of staffing. His specialties are Application Lifecycle Management, Software Quality Assurance, Software Development, Staff Augmentation, Direct-Hire Placement Services, Co-Sourcing, and Projects and Solutions. 


Vincent Maraia
Practice Director

Vince Maraia has over 24 years of software development experience. For the past five years, Vince was Vice President in Technology at Goldman Sachs developing and improving their IT business. Prior to Goldman, he was at Microsoft for 17 years in various Software Engineering and Management roles. In his most recent assignment at Goldman Sachs, Vince led the effort to improve cross-division collaboration, increase efficiencies across the firm, and satisfy Federal and other regulators requirements for 4000+ developers and over 400 million lines-of-code. He accomplished this by leveraging the best-of-breed open source tools combined with internally developed and purchased tools.  Vince has also authored the book “The Build Master” – Microsoft’s Software Configuration Management Best Practices published by Addison Wesley in October 2005. The book recalls his experience in supporting SCM practices at Microsoft and their customers.  Vince graduated with honors from Oregon State University with an Engineering Physics degree in 1989.


Paul Rinear
IT Director

Paul Rinear joined CMI in November 1998 as a Desktop and Server Support Technician and has been with the company ever since, now acting as Director of Information Technology and responsible for all aspects of CMI’s IT infrastructure, as well as in-house technical consulting.  Paul is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer with 25 years of wide ranging technology experience, from hardware and environment support to  systems planning and application integration.  Paul studied Electrical Engineering at MIT, and holds an AAS in Computer Science from Brookdale Community College, BA in Physics from Thomas Edison State College, and a MA in Mathematics from Georgian Court University.


Michelle Vanetti
Human Resources Director

Michelle Vanetti is Configuration Management Inc.’s Director of Human Resources. She is experienced in managing human resource activities on a national basis and leading our organization through periods of significant growth and change with effective leadership and managerial skills, including the ability to establish HR as a strategic business partner. Ms. Vanetti has knowledge of all areas of human resources, including compensation and benefits; recruitment and selection; human resources information systems; training and development; employee relations and communications; and human resources policy, practice and legal compliance. She is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management, the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, and the US Women's Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Vanetti holds an Associate’s Degree in Social Science, Brookdale Community College, NJ and a Bachelor’s Degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations, Rutgers University, NJ.


William P. Anderson is Configuration Management, Inc.’s Chairman Emeritus and Founder. As an early pioneer of Software Configuration Management, Mr Anderson was part of a team of Bell Laboratories engineers that laid the foundations and developed the methodologies for this critical area of software development in the 1970s. He is responsible for CMI’s rich history in continuous delivery of superior quality and cost-efficient services. With over 35 years of Configuration Management experience, blending strong managerial skills with visionary technical expertise he has brought much value to the CM industry. He is well-versed in the economies of scale, process efficiencies and cost savings to drive our client’s programs. Though Mr Anderson is no longer active in the day-to-day operations of CMI, in his role as Chairman Emeritus, he continues to bring entrepreneurial spirit, innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills that guarantee CMI’s success in all industries.
